 | |  | | Ohio Valley Karate is an active, participating member of the International Shotokan Karate Federation. This non-profit organization based in Philadelphia, PA, was founded by Master Teruyuki Okazaki (10th degree black belt) in 1961 and is dedicated to the proliferation of traditional Japanese karate all over the world.
Equipment
No equipment is required to practice Shotokan Karate. A plain white karate uniform (Gi) is the standard attire; these may be purchased through Ohio Valley Karate at a discounted rate. Belts and certificates of rank are included with testing fees upon a successful passing grade.
